Shortly after the 12:30 p.m. Mass ended, parishioners and visitors started packing the pews. You could feel the anxiety building up as musicians and sound personnel prepared the altar steps, turned into a stage, for the performance.
The choir, under the direction of Conductor Margaret Durando, made a dramatic entrance by
singing on the side aisles before assembling at the altar for the remainder of the event.
Talented singers from Nativity, St. Raymond, and St. Albert Churches, as well as the St. Francis High School Chamber Choir, impressed all with their beautiful voices and musical talent. Mozart (mostly!) and Haydn compositions delighted the audience. All present agreed that it was a memorable event and suggested that we host another performance in the Spring of 2007.
The concert was professionally recorded and CDs are available for purchase. They make wonderful gifts! To order yours, please download the form and mail it with your payment directly to the conductor (instructions are on the form).
